Pierce, Colorado

Overview:

Named for John Pierce, the president of the Union Pacific railroad, Pierce was founded in 1869. The town has served the railroad in a variety of ways - as a water stop, a depot, and a livestock and crop shipping point. Today, Pierce is a quiet, rural town with an assortment of small businesses. Pierce is located in Weld County, 14 miles north of Greeley.
